Salt chlorination
The idea of salt chlorination (yes, you are using chlorine) has merit but beware of its limitations. Salt solutions can be very damaging to many surfaces and filtration plant. It is not generally suitable for public pools; with a high bather load, a salt chlorinator will struggle to produce enough chlorine quickly enough to maintain an effective disinfectant residual. On first consideration it appears to be a cheaper option but years down the track you could be in for some hefty repair and component replacement bills. So, before opting for salt chlorination check carefully that it suits your situation.
High Basicity PAC - Aluminium Chlorohydrate
We supply Alchor Premium Gold (made by Hardman in Australia). At 25.5% as Al2O3 it is the highest basicity, highest quality, best ACH there is. It works as a primary coagulant and like a polymer. It works much better than alum or normal PAC over a much wider turbidity and pH range. You use a lot less than standard compounds and you get a much more compact crystaline coagulant.
